Hi there!  Welcome to Rebekah Reads.

I’m Rebekah Dolmat, the blog’s author.

I’m an English teacher who has recently graduated from a teacher education program at McGill University (MATL ELA), with a strong background in English Literature and History (B.A. from McGill).  I have been an avid reader for as long as I can remember and have always dreamed of one day sharing my love of reading with my students, in the hopes that, they too, become readers themselves.

When I am not teaching, there’s nothing that I enjoy more than curling up on the sofa with a cup of tea (or cappuccino!) and a good book.  I particularly enjoy a good mystery, crime thriller, or suspense novel, as these grab my attention and completely captivate me.  A bonus is that these genres can also include elements from other, more classic, genres, like classical literature (Agatha Christie), historical fiction (Umberto Eco), and even romance (Verity by Colleen Hoover).

This blog is a way for me to share my love of reading, as well as my past and current reads, with other readers and book lovers (not just my students!). So, take a look around, read my reviews, and hopefully you’ll find your next favourite book in the process!

You can never get a cup of tea large enough or book long enough to suit me.
